The receipt of applications for participation in the annual Russian Award for journalists "The Golden Stilus-2017" has been opened.

The contest for popularization of IT projects, changing the lives of people and the Russian society - "The Golden Stilus" has been established by the corporation ELAR with the support of the Association of Innovation Regions of Russia (AIRR). The Fund for the promotion of innovations is the official partner of the award. "Technological innovations are of our constant focus," - says the CEO of the Fund - Sergei Polyakov. - "And it is important for us, what is the media coverage, what is the social response for such projects."

Since the launch of the first contest in 2013, the award has been given to 143 journalists writing and making films about the achievements in the field of informatization. "We are happy to announce the start of a traditional competition," says Vice President of the corporation ELAR - Dmitry Shcherbachev. - Today it is possible to speak about the positive trend in the coverage of successful IT  innovations in the Russian media. If five years ago the journalists were more interested in the technological side of the projects, today the authors become more attentive to the issue, how the information technologies affect the lives of compatriots. In the fall of 2017, we will give awards to the journalists for the fifth time in three categories: "Federation", "Region", and "Culture".

A year ago, the award ceremony for the winners of "The Golden Stilus" was held during the Forum "Open Innovations". The reps of publishing houses from Tatarstan and St. Petersburg became the winners of the contest, and the journalist of TRC "Udmurtia" became the winner for the second time. The nominees of the short list of the award 2016 were marked with diplomas, signed by the President of the jury - the President of the Republic, Tatarstan - Rustam Minnikhanov.

"It is very valuable for us to support initiatives being similar to the award of "The Golden Stilus", since such competitions have a strong regional component in the field of innovations," noted the Director of AIRR - Ivan Fedotov.

The requirements to participants of the contest and the award history are available on the official site www.goldenstylus.ru, where you can also submit the application. In 2017, it is possible to submit materials, which were placed in the Russian media during the period from October 1, 2016 to October 1, 2017.
