The contests are announced within framework of the Forum of strategists in St. Petersburg

From October 23 to October 24, St. Petersburg will host the 26th All Russian Forum "Strategic planning in Russia's regions and cities": "Implementation tools and resources." The following competitions will be held within the framework of the forum:

- the competition "The strategies, that have changed the cities";

- competition of city strategies 2017.

The urban districts (with population up to 1 million people), municipalities and urban settlements are invited to participate in the contest "The strategies that have changed the cities". A strategy that was created not less than 3 years ago and not more than 20 years ago and which was implemented in such a way that had a significant impact on the development of the city (area) may be presented to the competition. The strategy in this contest is understood in one way or another as a recorded and formalized strategic design-program, strategy, concept, project, project proposal.

The contest of city strategies 2017 will accept city district strategies adopted in the period from August 1, 2014 until August 15, 2017. The contestants who have been pre-selected will compete in the semi-final within framework of the 16th All Russian Forum "Strategic planning in the regions and cities of Russia: implementation tools and resources." The four winners will meet in the final competition during the All Russian Strategic Development Forum, "The Russian Cities 2030:" "Opportunities Crossroads" (Yekaterinburg, November 15-16, 2017).
