Expert council of special economic zone "Alabuga" approved projects for 650 million rubles

The Expert Council of the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) "Alabuga" approved the projects of three companies claiming to be resident of SEZ. The total investment in the creation of new industries is more than 650 million rubles.

The project "ST Alabuga" was initiated by the company "ST Nizhegorodets" being one of the largest companies in Russia for production of buses, special vehicles and trucks on the basis of vans and chassis of commercial vehicles of the leading brands of Ford, RENAULT, Citroen, Peugeot, Nissan, GAZ. The project on the territory of "Alabuga" provides for the production of more than 2 thousand vehicles per year. Financing of the project will amount to 137.2 million rubles. This is the investor's own funds. In 2017, the company expects to produce 880 vehicles.

Project Agrusim-Alabuga LLC provides for annual proudction of 5.7 thousand tons of plant protection products. This project was initiated by the company Soyuzagrokhim  which intends to invest in production 297.2 million rubles of its own funds. Construction of the plant is scheduled to begin in 2018. By 2020, the revenue from production, according to the business plan, will be 1.39 billion rubles.

STiM-Alabuga LLC plans to build plant and  logistics center in SEZ territory, to set up production of retroreflective glass beads, which are used for road marking. Initiator of the project is STiM company which plans to invest in production 222.2 million rubles of its own funds. The company expects to receive 234 million rubles of revenue in 2020.

SEZ "Alabuga" was created by the resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation on December 21, 2005 in the territory of Elabuga district of Tatarstan and is the largest and most successful SEZ of industrial and production type in Russia. It accounts for 68% of the revenue of all economic zones of the country. At the present time, 55 resident companies are registered in "Alabuga", 22 plants are already operating. The volume of contracted private investment is 155.8 billion rubles; 100.2 billion rubles of this amount have already been spent. The volume of state investments in creating infrastructure of SEZ "Alabuga" amounted to 25.7 billion rubles. Over 5,500 work places were created.
