Artem Zdunov and CEO of WorldSkills Russia Robert Urazov signed a cooperation agreement

Today within a framework of the conference "Digital industry of the industrial Russia" on the site of the University of Innopolis signed the agreement between the Union "Agency of development of professional communities and working staff "Young professionals (WorldSkills Russia)" and the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan by the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan - Artem Zdunov and CEO of WorldSkills Russia - Robert Urazov

“The challenge is to combine efforts in the work that we are doing now on promoting entrepreneurial thought, work with entrepreneurs to involve young people, their education,” - said Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan - Artem Zdunov. The Worldskills movement in Russia has many initiatives, including financial and organizational. "We actively participate with them in the championships. Together we can do more for the business community”, - said the Minister.

The format of the agreement involves unification of efforts of the parties in implementing the entrepreneurial initiatives of WorldSkills on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan; support (information, advice, estate and financial) to the WorldSkills Championship system, implements projects in the field of small and medium-sized businesses residing in the territory of the Republic; assist in attracting members of the system implementing WorldSkills Championship in small and medium-sized enterprises to participate in regional and national competitions to support small and medium-sized businesses, educational programmes on the formation of entrepreneurial skills; popularization of the success stories of WorldSkills Championship in the media.

Russia joined the WorldSkills Movement first in 2012.

The main purpose of the movement is to raise the prestige of experienced professionals and to show the importance of the skills for achievement of personal success and for the country's economic growth.

Competitions promote youth vocational guidance and implementation of the best international practices into the system of the country's education, as well as directly influence on future career of young professionals

During the period of existence of the WorldSkills Movement Russia, there were four finals of the National Championship. The Championships attracted more than 30 thousand contestants whose work was evaluated by 30 thousand Russian experts. The total number of spectators exceeded 900 thousand. 84 out of 85 subjects of the Russian Federation are the official members of the Movement.

In addition, it should be reminded that on May 19 the Vth National Championship, "Young professionals" (WorldSkills Russia-2017) finalized in the city of Krasnodar The national team of the Republic of Tatarstan composed of students from the Kazan Innovation University named after V.G.Timirjasov - Julia Sichevskaya and Karina Haleeva, as well as from the Institute of Economics, Management and Finance of Kazan Federal University - Alina Altynbayeva won in the competence of "entrepreneurship".
