We remind that since July 1, 2015 change of the Federal law of May 4, 2011 No. 99-FZ "About licensing of separate kinds of activity", made by the Federal law of 29.12.2014 No. 458-FZ came into force.

The activity which is subject to licensing "on neutralization and placement of waste of the I-IV classes of danger" is expanded with the law No. 458-FZ to activity "on collecting, transportation, processing, utilization, neutralization, placement of waste of the I-IV classes of danger".

According to the Federal classification catalog of waste approved by the order of Federal Nature Management Supervision Service No. 445 of July 18, 2014, some types of scrap metal can be carried to the IV class of danger and above.

In this regard, in case of preparation of scrap metal which can be carried to dangerous wastes, we pay your attention that preparation, storage, processing and realization of scrap of ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals and collecting, transportation, processing, utilization, neutralization, placement of waste of the I-IV classes of danger are two different kinds of activity, both from which are subject to licensing.
