The Minister of Economics of the Republic of Tatarstan Artyom Zdunov took part in Innopolis's opening

Today in Tatarstan Innopolis was opened. The Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, the Minister of Telecom and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation Nikolai Nikiforov, the acting the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the opening ceremony of the satellite town of Kazan.
Innopolis is located in 40 km from the center of Kazan. Its key task is to give the chance to highly qualified specialists to realize themselves in Russia, creating domestic products and services. Innopolis has to become an attraction point for the professionals working in spheres of IT and high technologies.
We remind that in 2012 Dmitry Medvedev gave start to the new city, having put on a construction platform a capsule with the message to future inhabitants. Less than in three years all basic infrastructure was constructed.
Dmitry Medvedev called Innopolis's opening the major event for development of Tatarstan and all Russia.
As part of the program, the Minister visited the Arsky Industrial Park, where he got acquainted with the current activities and long-term plans of the residents. During the inspection of the production facilities, Midkhat Shagiakhmetov held a substantive discussion with the heads of enterprises on capacity expansion and improving the efficiency of using the existing infrastructure.
Applications for the Start-Digital Technologies-1 competition (turn 2) are being accepted on the website of the Innovation Promotion Foundation until February 24. Individuals and legal entities, small business entities, can participate in it.
Rustem Mukhamedshin, Director of the Guarantee Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan, took part in a large–scale event - the strategic session of the Association of Small and Medium-sized Businesses of the Republic of Tatarstan, which took place on January 30, 2026 in Kazan at the Entrepreneur's House.
