The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan promotes digital literacy: online security lessons for schoolchildren

26 March 2025, Wednesday

As part of the Digital Educational program, Russian schoolchildren improve their digital literacy and cybersecurity awareness skills. A lesson on Internet security was held at Lyceum No. 1 of the Zelenodolsk Municipal District with the assistance of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan. Students in grades 9-10 were told how to effectively protect their data and recognize the tricks of online scammers.

These events are aimed at increasing the level of digital education among young people, which is especially important in the modern world saturated with digital technologies. During the lesson, students watched an instructional video and received valuable recommendations, including the need to use only official sources of information, create complex and unique passwords to protect accounts, and prevent entering bank card data in games.

The Digital Educational Program project is being implemented as part of an All-Russian initiative organized by ANO Digital Economy, the Ministry of Finance of Russia and the Ministry of Education of Russia. It includes a series of educational animated videos and teaching materials designed for teachers to teach children and adults the basics of digital literacy and cybersecurity using clear examples.

The project continues to expand its presence in the regions and contributes to the formation of a safe and informed digital environment for future generations.
