Today Natalia Kondratova, First Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan — Director of the Department of Entrepreneurship Development, together with colleagues from the Institutes of Entrepreneurship Development, took part in a press conference on the implementation of the national project "Small and medium—sized Entrepreneurship" and support for individual entrepreneurial initiative in the Republic of Tatarstan

During the press conference, Natalia Kondratova stressed that the implementation of the national project "Small and medium-sized enterprises" is a key element of the strategic development of the Republic of Tatarstan. Success in achieving the targets indicates that entrepreneurial activity is growing, creating new jobs and promoting innovation. The focus on IT and manufacturing opens up new horizons for local businessmen and startups.

The number of small and medium-sized enterprises increased by 7.4% and 4.8%, respectively. The employed in SMEs reached 788.7 thousand, and the self-employed - 352.7 thousand people, significantly exceeding the targets.

This year, about 7.7 billion rubles have been allocated to support SMEs, including concessional loans and grants. Support is provided through acceleration programs, including assistance to self-employed and aspiring entrepreneurs.

Among the priorities are productivity growth and an increase in the share of SMEs in the real sector. Work is underway to train personnel for industries, as well as expand sales markets. In 2024, 60% of purchases from SMEs through the largest customers were achieved.

There are more than 1,700 residents of industrial parks of the Republic of Tatarstan, who create 10.5% of industrial production. Next year, work will continue on simplifying the launch of investment projects and holding events to attract new suppliers.

For the further development of the SME sector, it is necessary to solve urgent problems such as the shortage of qualified personnel. It is planned to introduce a training and advanced training program for employees, which will help ensure sustainable business growth. Investment activities will also remain in the spotlight, with an emphasis on attracting private investment and improving conditions for new players.

The key support measures next year will be the expansion of the availability of preferential microfinance and the provision of consulting services for start-up entrepreneurs. Deepening cooperation with educational institutions should be an important step towards creating an effective ecosystem for startups. Thus, the implementation of the national project will continue taking into account the new challenges and needs of the region.
