According to the results of the first ten months of 2024, SME companies from the Russian tourism industry concluded loan agreements with SME Bank (a subsidiary of SME Corporation) for a total amount of about 2 billion rubles. This is three times more than in the same period of 2023. 505 million rubles are accounted for by the tourism business from the Republic of Tatarstan.

In terms of the volume of loans attracted, the Republic of Tatarstan was second only to the capital of the country, where entrepreneurs of the tourism industry attracted over 1 billion rubles. The Rostov Region (161 million rubles) and the Republic of Dagestan (80 million rubles) are also among the leading regions.

To date, the largest number of tourism projects implemented with the support of SME Bank are related to the construction and reconstruction of hotels, the development of the restaurant business, as well as related to the organization of sports and entertainment activities.

"Support for small and medium-sized tourism businesses is one of the priorities today. To further stimulate lending to this industry, we have recently launched special "umbrella" guarantees for SMEs in the hospitality industry. This mechanism simplifies obtaining a bank loan, since the SME Corporation assumes some of the risks. At the same time, umbrella guarantees are available to entrepreneurs both in the implementation of large investment projects and in a check popular among small and medium-sized businesses in the amount of 3-5 million rubles," said Alexander Isaevich, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of SME Bank, CEO of SME Corporation.

"Increasing the availability of financial support is not only a matter of the loan interest rate. The quality of customer service and digitalization of business processes are also important. Recently, SME Bank simplified the loan application form, minimized the package of documents (in the segment up to 8 million rubles – up to one passport), and reduced the scoring time. At the same time, the application undergoes an automated analysis, and the entrepreneur is offered the most profitable option according to the conditions. All this has made it possible to significantly increase the number of loans issued to companies working in the hospitality industry," said the Chairman of the Board of SME Bank Ivan Podberezniak.

Let us recall that the SME Bank provides support to small and medium-sized businesses in the implementation of the national project "Small and medium-sized enterprises". It was initiated by the President Vladimir Putin.
