Small and medium–sized businesses of Tatarstan received in January - June 2023 more than 7.37 billion rubles under guarantees issued by regional guarantee organizations (RGO). The republic entered the TOP 10 regions of the country in terms of the total amount of financial support received with the participation of the RGO.

"Surety in case of insufficient collateral is one of the most popular tools for business. The number of borrowers has increased by 2 times: only in the first 6 months of 2023, almost 12 thousand entrepreneurs used the guarantee, whereas in 2022 - 5.8 thousand. In terms of the volume of financing attracted under the RGO instruments, the largest growth in relation to the first half of 2022 was demonstrated by the sphere of transportation and logistics – almost 14 billion rubles, services – more than 30 billion, production – 44 billion rubles," said Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Tatyana Ilyushnikova.

"The mechanism of providing sureties and guarantees is what helps entrepreneurs to attract borrowed funds to their business on acceptable terms. This also applies to preferential lending programs: 1764, PSK, investment loans (PSK +1764) and high-tech at 3% per annum. Small and medium-sized enterprises that do not have enough of their own collateral to provide banks with loans, NHS tools are available. We are talking, first of all, about the "umbrella" guarantees and guarantees of the RGO," said Alexander Isaevich, CEO of the SME Corporation.

Earlier, summing up the results of the implementation of the national project "Small and Medium-sized Entrepreneurship" for the first six months of 2023, the First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Andrey Belousov, who oversees it, noted that today a wide range of preferential financial products is available to SMEs. They are provided in banks, regional microfinance and guarantee organizations. In the first half of the year, more than 53 thousand contracts have already been concluded for a total amount of over 770 billion rubles.
