Russia and Iran signed a memorandum on cooperation in the field of tourism
The Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Crafts of the Islamic Republic of Iran have concluded a memorandum on cooperation in the field of tourism "on the sidelines" of the International Economic Forum "Russia - the Islamic World: KazanForum-2023. The document was signed by Deputy Head of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Dmitry Vakhrukov and the deputy head of the Iranian department Ali Azgar Shalbafiyan.
The parties agreed to promote an increase in the tourist flow between Russia and Iran, encourage investment and trade cooperation between representatives of the private sector, assist in establishing contacts between Russian and Iranian tourism organizations and developing cooperation programs.
The relevant departments of the two countries will work together to improve the human resources potential of the tourism and hospitality industry of the Russian Federation and the Islamic Republic. The readiness to help create new innovative tourist products was confirmed, in particular, by getting acquainted with the sights, cultural and natural heritage and the development of entertainment tourism.
It is planned to establish an exchange of experts on the training of professional personnel for the tourism and hospitality industry between industry organizations of the two countries. Russia and Iran will exchange experience in the development and promotion of all types of tourism, including accommodation, cultural and historical tourism, ecotourism and the creation of new cruise routes.
The implementation of the provisions will be monitored within the framework of the Permanent Russian-Iranian Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.
Let us recall that direct flights between Tatarstan and Iran have already been established, since May 16, residents of the republic have already had the opportunity to fly directly from Kazan to the capital of Iran - the city of Tehran, on the wings of the airline "North Wind". The opening of new routes corresponds to the objectives of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality Industry".
According to the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, announced on KazanForum, the agreement on visa-free group trips between Russia and Iran will work in the summer. Visas to Iran for Russian tourists are planned to be canceled until September.
