Midhat Shagiakhmetov awarded the best TOSS of Tatarstan
Today, a solemn celebration of the winners of the annual republican contest "The Best Territorial Public Self-Government" by the results of 2022 took place in the column hall of the Kazan City Hall. The city Territorial Self-Governments of the Republic of Tatarstan will receive grants in the total amount of up to 73 million rubles.
Before the award ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midhat Shagiakhmetov, on behalf of the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan and on his own behalf, congratulated the winners and thanked all TSG activists for their great contribution to the development of their territories, improving the quality of life of citizens on the ground.
The Minister recalled that there are currently 459 active TSG in Tatarstan. Territorial public self-governments of the republic carry out extensive social work on the ground, involve citizens to participate in public life, support local residents' initiatives, identify and solve pressing issues of territories, organize mass cultural, physical culture and sports events, support socially vulnerable categories of the population.
"TSGs today are one of the most significant social forces, which is the initiator and direct executor of transformations related to the appearance of our cities, streets and courtyards. Over the years of its existence, TSGs have turned into centers of social activity and local initiatives. In addition, they are the backbone of the authorities and their support in the implementation of republican and federal programs," the minister said.
The Minister stressed that special attention is paid in the republic to the development of the institution of territorial public self-government. The system of interaction of TSG with local self-government and state authorities built in Tatarstan, the forms of TSG support adopted in the republic remain an example for many subjects of the Russian Federation today.
"I hope that our further joint work will be no less effective and will allow us to implement all constructive initiatives aimed at the benefit of our citizens," the minister concluded.
Let us recall that the competition is held with the support of the Association "Council of Municipalities of the Republic of Tatarstan", since 2015.
