The task of the competition, which is held by ASI and the Roscongress Foundation on behalf of the President of Russia, is to show the diversity of domestic brands and set up a system mechanism for their support. Svetlana Chupsheva, Director General of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI), told about this at a meeting with entrepreneurs of Tatarstan, which was held in an IT park in Kazan.
"We see the most important task of the competition in showing a huge variety of Russian companies that are represented in all spheres of life today. These are food products, consumer goods, everything related to high-tech goods, creative industries," the head of the ASI said.
Svetlana Chupsheva added that today it is necessary to set up a system mechanism for supporting domestic brands at the level of the government, regions, development institutions, as well as the ecosystem that business uses, so that everyone in their part can help its growth. "And so that our companies with a high-quality product, with high-quality content, are available to Russian and foreign consumers," the Agency's CEO noted.
"Tatarstan has brands that are already known far beyond the borders of the republic and the country. And our further work is to support and develop these projects, to open new brands. I want to thank ASI for the initiative that will allow our business to expand its points of presence, replicate and scale ideas," said Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan – Minister of Economy of Tatarstan Midhat Shagiakhmetov.
Now the brand contest received 263 applications, five of them from Tatarstan via the idea crowd platform.roscongress.rf This is a platform for quick calculation of the Metadoor-dev financial model; a project for the production of flour and juice from wheat germ Alina_Boginia, for the production of biotechnological methods of plant protection and nutrition Bionovatic. The application was also submitted by the Royal Five children's knitted clothing and accessories brand and the Trickster job search project for schoolchildren and students.
The competition jury will determine up to fifteen winning brands from each subject. In addition, five federal winners of the competition will be selected, which will be noted by the country's top leadership at the face-to-face event of the forum "Strong Ideas for a New Time" in June this year.
The winners will be able to promote their products on marketplaces and retail chains, on television and in new media, as well as receive support and promotion from the contest partners. Among them are the Roscongress Foundation, Wildberries, OZON, ANO Dialog, FCC, Russian Post, Roskachestvo, ANO National Priorities.
At the meeting in Kazan, local brands for the production of Yaratam furniture, Fendi confectionery, cosmetics – "Olesya Mustayeva" were presented. Also, the company for the production of diagnostic and therapeutic equipment "Smartlifkea" and the clothing brand "Alga" presented their products. The entrepreneurs noted that they are ready to take part in the ASI and the Roscongress Foundation competition and expect to receive assistance in building new business processes and financial models that will increase profits 5-10 times. In addition, there is a request for assistance in finding production sites, obtaining affordable loans, and drafting a marketing strategy.
"We want not just to hold a competition and select finalists, but to identify the request of our entrepreneurs for support, to help them grow further without serious perturbations. I do not rule out that following the results of the competition we will have a new program to support Russian brands," said Svetlana Chupsheva.
