Acceptance of applications from businesses for the assignment of the status of "social enterprise" has started in Tatarstan

The status of social enterprise opens up the possibility for entrepreneurs to receive measures of state financial and non-financial support within the framework of the national project "Small and medium-sized entrepreneurship and support for individual entrepreneurial initiative".

The My Business Center of the Regional Entrepreneurship Support Fund subordinated to the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan is accepting applications.

Entrepreneurs who employ mainly citizens from socially vulnerable categories can obtain this status, or such entrepreneurs sell goods (works, services) produced by such citizens, or sell goods (works, services) for such citizens, as well as those engaged in socially useful activities, primarily providing recreation, health improvement and development of children, engaged in cultural and educational activities and others.

The status of a "social enterprise" gives access to a range of support measures: subsidies and grants, concessional financing, specialized educational programs, property support, including rental of state and municipal property on preferential terms. 

Also, in the second half of 2023, as part of the implementation of the national SME project, additional grant support is provided for the implementation of projects in the field of social entrepreneurship in the amount of up to 500 thousand rubles. It will be possible to direct the received gratuitous funds to any reasonable entrepreneurial goals for business development. Last year, the volume of subsidies issued amounted to 47 million rubles.

Also, social enterprises can receive preferential financial support of up to 5 million rubles at 4.5% per annum.

It is necessary to confirm the status of a social entrepreneur annually.
