12 thousand schoolchildren of Tatarstan took part in business games under the national project

The stage of the business game within the framework of the School Business Start project has come to an end. On October 27, the final games will take place in Tatarstan. The project covered 12 thousand schoolchildren.

The business game became the second stage of the project; at the first stage, Tatarstan teachers were trained according to the program developed by the Institute for the Development of Education.

In a business game, schoolchildren, divided into groups of 60 people, draw up a portrait of an entrepreneur and undergo special testing, as well as present their own projects, having previously prepared a business plan and developed a PR campaign. So students try themselves as business creators and learn to work in a team.

“Educational methodology through business and role-playing games allows to achieve the proper level of motivation and enthusiasm of schoolchildren for learning and contributes to the development of talented youth. Thus, in a game format, schoolchildren receive the skills of entrepreneurial thinking, presentation, argumentation, planning, all the necessary skills and competencies in order to develop their own projects in teams and defend them in front of an external audience,” commented Airat Shamsiev, First Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan.

“We are delighted with the interest with which the students took the program, how quickly they learn, literally grasping everything on the fly. Of course, we expected great results, but we were pleasantly surprised by the creativity of the Tatarstan students. We received so many great business ideas that can be transformed into big projects in the future. The main thing is to believe in yourself and your strengths, then everything will work out, ”says Elena Tikhonova, head of the School Business Start project.

What distinguishes the program is its scale. Classes were held not only in Kazan and Naberezhnye Chelny, but also for schoolchildren of Zelenodolsk, Alekseevsky, Laishevsky, Bugulminsky, Vysokogorsky, Zainsky, Menzelinsky, Nizhnekamsky, Aznakaevsky, Sarmansky, Almetevsky, Pestrechinsky, Arsky, Baltasinsky, Mendelevsky districts of the Republic of Tatarstan.

In parallel with the classes, the organizers are preparing for the next stage of the project. Recall that schoolchildren who successfully cope with the business game will undergo in-depth training in theoretical and practical skills of entrepreneurial activity. These will be training team seminars in which school companies will take part. Upon their completion, the participants will present their projects to expert entrepreneurs. Students who pass this stage will advance to the next level of the project. Before the New Year, they will take part in a charity school fair, and then a business case championship.

The final gathering of school business companies is scheduled for April 2023. It will be attended by 40 teams, in which 120 students will compete.

The organizers of the School Business Start project were the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan. The program is implemented within the framework of the National Project "Small and Medium Enterprises and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiatives".
