More than 191 thousand people are registered as self-employed in the Republic of Tatarstan

The number of registered self-employed continues to grow in Tatarstan. Since the beginning of 2022, their number has increased by more than 22 thousand people and reached 191.4 thousand. The growth is justified by the simplicity of the regime, broad support from the state and a low tax rate.

Thanks to the national project "Small and Medium Enterprises and Support of Individual Entrepreneurial Initiative", the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, together with subordinate business support institutions, provides self-employed citizens with concessional financing, grants, guarantees and other popular support measures necessary for a comfortable and confident business.

This year, the concessional financing program was included in the republican package of measures to support business in the face of sanctions pressure. The Self-Employed 2022 product provides for a preferential interest rate of 5.5 per annum, up to 500,000 rubles for up to 2 years, and is available to self-employed citizens registered in the Republic of Tatarstan. Since the beginning of this year, 69 self-employed people have received financial support in the amount of more than 10 million rubles.

The Guarantee Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan, if the self-employed do not have sufficient collateral for loan financing, provides guarantees with a reduced interest rate from 1% to 0.5%, with a grace period of up to 6 months.

In addition, Tatarstan self-employed can receive information and consulting support at the My Business center. Consultation is available on all issues related to the use of the application and the issuance of checks for transactions, the conclusion of an agreement with legal entities and individual entrepreneurs.

This year, the number of training programs for payers of the “Tax on Professional Income” has been increased, for the sale of products of the self-employed, fair events are held throughout the country throughout the year with free provision of trading places, marketing support and support are provided when the products of the self-employed are brought to marketplaces.

The implementation of support measures creates favorable conditions for the involvement of even more citizens in the legal business environment and the development of entrepreneurial activity. Along with the growth in the number of payers of the "Tax on professional income" in the region, an increase in their gross total income was recorded - during the period of the special tax regime, the self-employed of Tatarstan earned over 50 billion rubles.
