In Tatarstan, the volume of retail sales of durable products to the population continues to decline, but still remains above average consumption volumes. The volume of basic goods in distribution centers is sufficient to meet the demand of the population. This was announced today by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midkhat Shagiakhmetov at a meeting in the House of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan. The meeting was held by the Prime Minister of Tatarstan Alexei Pesoshin.
The data was obtained based on the results of the analysis of streaming data of cash registers provided by the Federal Tax Service of Russia.
“The rate of decline in sales compared to last week is from 10 to 25%. For some positions, sales volumes are lower than the reference week, which indicates the stabilization of demand. Signing contracts with new suppliers, increasing supplies of a number of items, limiting sales to one person contributes to the reduction of rush demand,” Midkhat Shagiakhmetov said.
He also said that this week, as part of the prevention of speculative price increases, isolated cases of sugar resale have been identified. The materials were sent to the internal affairs bodies for verification. On a number of facts, operational measures were taken, administrative measures were applied.
“In order to provide the population of the republic with the necessary products, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, together with municipalities, holds traditional agricultural fairs, where residents can purchase products at affordable prices. Due to the increased demand, deliveries of a number of items to the fairs were also announced,” he added.
