9 December 2021, Thursday

From July 1, 2022, a new simplified tax regime will be launched for micro and small entrepreneurs, the purpose of which will be to reduce the burden on business and help free up resources for development. One of the pilot regions for the introduction of the regime will be the Republic of Tatarstan.

Today, the Federal Tax Service of Russia explained the rules for using the new simplified tax regime for micro and small businesses.

Starting from July 1, 2022, a new simplified tax regime will be launched for micro and small entrepreneurs. Its goal is to reduce the burden on business and help free up resources for development. The experiment on the introduction of an automated simplified taxation system (ASTS) will last until the end of 2027, explained during the webinar of the SME Corporation "#We understand: what is the new simplified tax regime for micro and small businesses?" Head of the Operational Control Department of the Federal Tax Service of Russia Vladimir Maltsev.

"This regime simplifies the submission of tax reporting and reporting to state extra-budgetary funds. Insurance contributions to the funds are not paid. At the same time, the current pension and social insurance procedure will be maintained for employees. Banks perform part of the functions of personal income tax agents. The tax base is determined automatically directly by the tax authorities based on the data of the CER, banks and information entered by the taxpayer in the Personal Account," he said.

The experimental tax regime will be available to entrepreneurs in four regions: in the Republic of Tatarstan, Moscow, Moscow and Kaluga regions.

From July 1, 2022, the use of the automated simplified taxation system will be available for newly registered taxpayers, and six months later - for everyone else. "When deciding to start applying the ASTS, an entrepreneur can submit a notification through the taxpayer's personal account or through a partner bank in which the taxpayer has an account," concluded the representative of the tax service.

CEO of SME Corporation Alexander Isaevich noted that the main purpose of the webinar is to answer questions of concern to entrepreneurs. To do this, they are collected before each online meeting with government representatives.

"This allows us to make our events as specific as possible in terms of content, without useless information, and in a short time to give the very essence. We have already held several similar events and we can see from the responses of the participants that they are useful and they are in demand. Now we are drawing up a plan for future webinars and agreeing with speakers so that they can meet at the site of our corporation, ask exciting questions and get answers, as they say, first hand" said Alexander Isaevich.

Let us recall that the SME Corporation provides financial and non-material support to small and medium-sized businesses, including organizing training in entrepreneurial competencies.
