More than 30 single-industry towns became winners of the competition of small towns and historical settlements

In total, more than 300 applications from 72 regions of the country were sent to the competition. According to the results of the selection, 160 cities became winners, 36 of which have the status of single-industry ones.  A year ago, 33 single-industry towns became winners.  

So, in the nomination "Historical settlements" Gorokhovets, Vladimir region won. In the nomination "Small cities with a population of 50 to 100 thousand people" – Svobodny Amur region, Gubkin Belgorod region, Zheleznogorsk Krasnoyarsk Territory, Ust-Katav Chelyabinsk region, Polevskaya and Krasnoturinsk of the Sverdlovsk region, Ust-Ilimsk of the Irkutsk region, Leninsk-Kuznetsky of the Kemerovo region, Aleksin of the Tula region, Belebey and Kumertau of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Chistopol of the Republic of Tatarstan. 

In the nomination "Small towns with a population of 20 to 50 thousand people", the winners were: Semiluki of the Voronezh region, Udomlya of the Tver region, Vyatskiye Polyany of the Kirov region, Teykovo of the Ivanovo Region, Segezha of the Republic of Karelia, Guryevsk of the Kemerovo Region, Balakhna of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Mtsensk of the Orel Region, Kirovsk of the Murmansk Region, Mednogorsk of the Orenburg Region, Shelekhovirkut region, Kimovsk, Tula region, Sumerlya, Chuvash Republic.

And in the category "Small cities with a population of up to 20 thousand people", the best were: Novomichurinsk, Ryazan region, Galich, Kostroma region, Navashino, Volodarsk and Knyaginino of Nizhny Novgorod region, Onega Arkhangelsk region, Pestovo Novgorod region, Verkhnyaya Tura Sverdlovsk region, Inza Ulyanovsk region, Yasny Orenburg region.

All the winning cities will receive grants from the federal budget for the implementation of their projects.

The All-Russian competition of the best projects for creating a comfortable urban environment in small towns and historical settlements is being held among small towns of up to 100 thousand people and historical settlements of federal and regional significance for the fifth time. The competition has been held by order of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin since 2018.
