Financial awareness of the population and development of competition in the Republic of Tatarstan were the topics discussed at a meeting in the Ministry of Economy

Improving population's financial awareness and financial education in the Republic of Tatarstan for the years 2020-2023 and other issues were discussed via videoconference at the meeting of the working group on the sustainable development of economy of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Before moving on to the agenda, it was noted that on 8 December 2020, by the order No. 1100 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, the regional programme "Improving financial awareness and financial education in the Republic of Tatarstan in 2020-2023 years" was adopted.  One of the indicators of the program is to increase the coverage of the population involved in financial awareness activities and ensure 100% participation of all educational institutions in online financial literacy lessons. The Bank of Russia conducts constant monitoring in all regions.

At the meeting, the Deputy Manager of the Branch-the National Bank for the Republic of Tatarstan of the Volga-Vyatsky Main Department of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, S. Sirazieva, made a report on the preliminary results of the spring session of online lessons.

One of the issues on the agenda was once again the annual preparation by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan of the report on the development of competition in the republic, which also includes data on achieving the targets of the Roadmap for promoting competition. According to the results of the annual report of the subjects, a rating of the regions is formed according to the level of promotion of competition.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, the State Procurement Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan, and the deputy heads of the executive committees of the Apastovsky and Tukayevsky municipal districts made reports on the achievement of the indicators of the Roadmap for Promotion of Competition for 2020.

The working group's meetings will continue next week.
