The results of the development of single-industry towns in 2020 were summed up in the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan
Today, via videoconference the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan held a round table on summing up the 2020 work results and the prospects for the development of single-industry towns of the republic. The event was chaired by Alfiya Kogogina, Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. It was attended by representatives of the SME Corporation, the Industrial Development Fund, the Single-Industry Towns Development Fund, and municipalities of the republic.
In her speech, Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Natalia Kondratova focused on the results of the implementation of measures to support businesses from single-industry towns. At the Federal level 136 SMEs received warranty support under the support of SME Corporation, 59 enterprises received financial support totaling 808.2 million rubles, for 8 loans for a total of $ 1.8 billion SMEs entreprises were granted a delay, leasing support was provided to with 7 businesses.
In 2020 through the Industrial Development Fund, 7 projects of enterprises operating on the territory of single-industry towns were approved for a total amount of 930.9 million rubles.
Strong support was provided by the Single-Industry Towns Development Fund, which financed infrastructure projects for a total of 2.5 billion rubles. Due to the created infrastructure, more than 8.700 jobs were generated and 31.9 billion rubles of investments were attracted.
As part of the implementation of the republican support measures in 2020, 84 guarantees of the Guarantee Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan were issued for a total of 505 million rubles, which allowed to attract debt funding in the amount of 2.86 billion rubles. The Entrepreneurship Support Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan issued 156 loans to small and medium-sized businesses in the amount of 401.3 million rubles.
"Territories of advanced socio-economic development are an effective tool for diversifying the economy of single-industry towns, attracting investments that contribute to the opening of new enterprises and creating jobs. There are 5 PSEDA operating in the Republic of Tatarstan, - Natalia Kondratova noted . - To date, 113 residents carry out their activities, which have invested 26.8 billion rubles and created more than 10 thousand jobs.
Of the 113 residents of PSEDA, 40 residents were brought in in 2020. The implementation of the projects of these residents will attract 8.7 billion rubles of investment to the economy of single-industry towns and create 4.170 jobs (for the entire period of the project).
At the end of her speech, the Deputy Minister of Economy has stressed that now there is a task to achieve the targets of the PSEDA for a 10-year period. It is planned to attract an additional 30 residents with an investment volume of about 12 billion rubles. Natalia Kondratova paid special attention to monitoring the implementation of investment projects by residents of PSEDA for the prompt and timely solution of their problems, including in the framework of participation in support measures provided by development institutions.
