The expert Council of the ASI approved the results of project support from the Republic of Tatarstan

The expert Council Of the Agency for strategic initiatives (ASI) recognized as implemented two projects from the Republic of Tatarstan, which were accompanied by ASI in 2019. In case of further successful development, the projects will be placed on the digital platform of regional sustainable development practices "Smartek" for further replication.

 With the support of ASI, the manufacturer of composite materials based on epoxy and polyurethane resins LLC "NPF "Recon" from Kazan and the developer of IT solutions LLC "Smart camera" from Innopolis were able to reveal their potential. ASI helped project initiators to prepare project documentation and feasibility studies, organized interaction with development institutions, relevant authorities, potential customers and partners.

"Recon" develops innovative solutions in the field of composite materials and binding components for transport and construction infrastructure. The project product – film-forming components of oilers for inorganic and carbon fibers-stable dispersions of organic resins in aqueous surfactant solutions. The use of film formers reduces the breakage of the fiber and protects its surface from abrasion during manufacture, as well as provides a "fiber-polymer" connection and improves the physical and mechanical characteristics of polymer composites.

ASI organized the interaction of the manufacturer with the Ministry of industry and trade of Russia, which resulted in adhesives based on resins and epoxy resins in primary forms were included in the list of high-tech products to obtain the right to compensate for part of the costs of exporting goods, as well as the possibility of subsidies.

The second project from Tatarstan, which was accompanied by ASI – is a software and hardware complex from the company "Smart camera". The system is used to improve the efficiency of transport and improve the quality of services: control of passenger flows and fare collection. The solution is applicable for most types of public transport: trains and trains, buses, trams, trolleybuses, metro.

ASI presented this project solution in 12 regions (Chuvash Republic, Perm region, Republic of Bashkortostan, Rostov region, Sverdlovsk region, Republic of Tatarstan, Republic of Crimea, Murmansk region, Novgorod region, Chechen Republic, Chelyabinsk region, St. Petersburg), organized interaction with major potential customers.

Both projects have been transferred to the monitoring stage and have the prospect of becoming the best practices of regional development, which are published in the library of "smart" solutions "Smarteka" and can be replicated in other regions of the Russian Federation.
