The Yaroslavl region hosts an educational program for regional teams to accelerate SMEs, where each region presents its successful practices.

First Deputy Minister of economy of Tatarstan - Director of the Department of business development and competition Rustem Sibgatullin spoke about the experience of Tatarstan in working with self-employed citizens.

Tatarstan along with Moscow, Moscow and Kaluga regions acts as a pilot region for testing the new tax regime "Tax on professional income". Since January 2019, residents of the Republic have had a unique opportunity to open a business without a visit to state bodies by downloading the application "My tax" on a smartphone, and pay unprecedented low taxes (4-6 percent).

36 057 citizens took advantage of this opportunity in Tatarstan, more than 3.6 thousand citizens from other regions registered in the application "My tax", indicating the Republic of Tatarstan as the region of their main activity.

"The concept of the new tax regime implies a reduction in the share of the informal employment sector, the creation of simple and understandable conditions for interaction with both tax authorities and authorities. We are guided by this concept when building interaction with the self - employed, as well as popularization of this tax regime in the Republic," Rustem Sibgatullin said.

In addition to the wide coverage and popularization of the tax regime in the media, social networks and youtube channels in the Republic for the self-employed was created a range of services to provide information and consulting support and assistance in registration. Consultations for the self-employed are conducted by the MFC, the Center "My business", ANO "support Center for the self-employed" and the Internet resource "Proven business".

This year, Tatarstan's self-employed gained access to the exchange platform, as another support measure, the possibility of compensating local producers for trading fees on the largest online platforms Wildberries and OZON is considered.

Rustem Sibgatullin also said that in November, the Ministry of economy of the Republic of Tatarstan together with Google Russia planned to hold an educational offline event for 1 thousand self-employed citizens.
