In single-industry towns a decrease in the number of unemployed has been recorded

"At the beginning of September, three monotowns of Tatarstan recorded a decrease in the number of registered unemployed. Thus, the number of unemployed decreased in Naberezhnye Chelny (to 1161), as well as in Kama Polyany and Chistopol to 265 and 316, respectively. This suggests that Tatarstan's efforts to support and develop single-industry towns, including joint programs with the Fund for the development of single-industry towns, are yielding results: the economy of single-industry towns is developing",  said the Minister of economy of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiev.

Today, one unemployed person in Tatarstan has an average of four vacancies. In General, the registered unemployment rate in the region does not exceed 0.55% of the labor force. The coefficient of tension in the labor market in Tatarstan conditionally amounted to 0.24 people per vacancy in September. 

Today it also became known that Tatarstan has once again entered the top 5 Russian regions with a favorable situation on the labor market. The labor market index in Tatarstan, according to experts, amounted to 72.2 points. Moscow became the leader of the rating. Second place went to St. Petersburg. The five leaders in addition to Tatarstan were the Moscow region and Ugra. 

These regions are characterized by a high level of socio-economic development, low unemployment, short average time to find a job, high wages and a large labor market capacity, the study says.  All these regions were leaders in the ranking and at the end of 2017.
