Tatarstan will hold a competition for the best geriatric office

The competition is aimed to improve the conditions of medical care for patients over 75 years.

Today in Tatar regional branch of the all-russian heldpolitical party "UNITED RUSSIA" has been held a regular meeting of the working group on control over execution of national projects in the Republic of Tatarstan headed by Deputy Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Tatiana Larionova.

During the meeting, municipal health institutions of the republic have been informed about the start of the competition for the best geriatric office of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The competition is held in the framework of the regional project "Older generation" of the national project "Demography".

Today there are 41 geriatric offices in Tatarstan. It is planned to open six more. For 8 months of 2019, the geriatric doctor was visited by about 6700 elderly citizens.

Medical care profile "geriatrics" is a system of measures to provide medical care to elderly patients (75 years and older) in order to maintain or restore their ability to self-care, physical and functional activity, as well as independence from outside help in everyday life.

The aim of the competition for the title of "Best geriatric office" is to improve the level and conditions of geriatric care in all medical institutions of the Republic, and one of the selection criteria will be the introduction of innovative forms in the organization of medical care for older citizens.

The results of the competition will be announced in November. Medical organizations-winners of the contest, who took the first three prizes, will be equipped with computers.
