Until September 4, you can receive an absentee ballot in MFC

On September 8, residents of the Republic will choose deputies of the state Council of the Republic of Tatarstan of the VI convocation. It is the highest legislative body of state power in the region. 

A distinctive feature of these elections is the use of the "Mobile voter" mechanism, which was first used in Tatarstan in 2018 in the presidential elections of Russia.

The new mechanism allows citizens to vote not at the place of residence, but at the place of stay (location). This means that they do not have to come to their polling stations on election day, as they will be able to cast their vote in any other corner of Tatarstan. This is very convenient, for example, for those who on the day of voting for a number of reasons will not be able to visit their polling station.

Earlier the person living not in that settlement in which it is registered, in order to vote at the place of actual location, it was necessary to go in advance to the native city or the village and to take the absentee card. Now you do not need to go to your place of residence. You can go to the MFC or any election commission in the city where you are and apply right there. The key difference and convenience is that there is no more need to go to the place of residence to get an absentee card.

To take advantage of this opportunity, it is necessary to apply to any of the 57 offices of the MFC of the Republic with a passport before September 4. If the passport is under replacement, you have to show a temporary identity card the staff of the center. The certificate of registration must be carried by persons who are not registered at the place of residence in the territory of Russia, but registered at the place of stay in the territory of Tatarstan until June 6, 2019. 

More than 120 people have applied to the MFC of Tatarstan since the beginning of the service for receiving applications for voting out of place, a third of them – to Kazan offices.

In all MFC the service is provided as a priority. Specialists of the centers will help the applicant to determine the number and address of the most convenient polling station, depending on where the voter will be on the day of voting. The citizen has the right to apply for inclusion in the list of voters at the location only once.
