The Ministry of economy of the Republic of Tatarstan summed up the results of the next monitoring of the activity of self-employed citizens

In July, about 7 thousand of Tatarstan citizens became self-employed. High trend continues in August – 2 weeks registered 4 thousand registrations of Tatarstan in the app "My tax". Today, the Republic, according to the Federal tax service of Russia, is one of the leaders among the pilot regions in the number of self-employed.

There are 26 thousand self-employed people in Tatarstan today. Most of them are in Kazan (7,657), Naberezhnye Chelny (2,343) and Nizhnekamsk municipal district (1,031). These three municipalities account for 42.4% of the self-employed registered in the Republic.

Also active citizens are registered self-employed in Drozhzhanovsk, Atnya, Baltasi, Muslyumovo, Cheremshan, Sarmanovo, novosheshminsk, Aktanyshsk, Apastovsk and Sabinsk municipal districts.

Most self-employed work in passenger transportation, services and advertising. There are many self-employed among programmers and tutors.

"We see the growing interest of Tatarstan citizens in the new tax regime. It is gratifying that our citizens show their civic position and strive to work honestly. A free hotline 8 800 222 37 22 has been launched especially for consultations on self - employment, which has been contacted by more than 1.4 thousand citizens since April, - said the Minister of economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiev. - Self-employed are advised in the entrepreneur's House, where free seminars are organized for them on Wednesdays, as well as in each Department of the MFC".

The new tax regime came into force on January 1, 2019 in four pilot regions of the Russian Federation: Republic of Tatarstan, Moscow, Moscow and Kaluga regions. It allows citizens to conduct business with a minimum tax burden (4% of income when working with individuals and 6% when working with legal entities) and virtually no administrative component. 

In order to become self-employed, you need to download in the AppStore or PlayMarket application "My tax", scan it in the passport, enter the TIN data and take a picture on your mobile phone – after a while on the phone specified in the application, you will receive an sms about registration as a payer of professional income tax. You do not need to go to the tax office to register. The self-employed are also exempt from the need to file a Declaration and are entitled to a tax deduction of 10 thousand rubles.

In total, 116.7 thousand people registered as self-employed in the pilot regions of Russia today.
