Tatarstan determined directions for improving the investment climate
According to the results of the National Rating of the investment climate in the regions of the Russian Federation, Tatarstan was recognized as the best among the regions of Russia, but the Ministry of Economy of Tatarstan will not stop there.
The Deputy Minister of Economy of Tatarstan Indira Kireyeva informed today at the briefing in the Government House.
The briefing was devoted to the results of participation of the Republic of Tatarstan in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2019). The speakers were also the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Albert Karimov and the Head of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan Taliya Minullina.
The overall results of the capital in the ranking were 283.6 points, of the Republic of Tatarstan - 283.3 points.
For the fifth consecutive year, Tatarstan is among the top three leaders of the National Rating of the investment climate in the regions of the Russian Federation. Including, three times the Republic occupied the first line of the rating. The share of investment in the republic's GRP over the past 10 years on average annually exceeded by 30%, which is consistently higher than the average Russian level.
“We have room to grow. We will carry out a detailed analysis of each of the 44 indicators, according to which the total score was held. Following the results of identifying strengths and weaknesses, a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan will be held and a set of tasks will be formed for further work to improve the investment climate”, said Indira Kireyeva.
She also noted that the government of Tatarstan in 2018 carried out a lot of work on development of investment attractiveness. Much attention was paid to feedback and adjustment of work on its basis.
In the course of summing up the SPIEF-2019, the Deputy Minister highlighted important agreements concluded at the Forum site.
One of the landmark events was the signing of a trilateral agreement on cooperation in the field of intellectual property between the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and the Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent).
Tatarstan occupies a leading position in the field of intellectual property, it is the only entity where the program for the development of intellectual property is implemented.
Tatarstan was also the first among the regions of the Russian Federation to sign such an agreement. To implement the agreement, an extensive regulatory and infrastructure base for the management and development of intellectual property has already been formed in the republic.
At the forum, the republic signed agreements with Yandex-Market, OZON, a cooperation agreement between the Agency for Strategic Initiatives to promote new projects and the Union “Agency for development of professional communities and workers “Young Professionals”, which involves the introduction of a regional standard for staffing industrial (economic) growth in the Republic of Tatarstan.
Indira Kireyeva told about the meeting of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov with Google Vice President Meir Brand, during which two new modules of the Business Class program for self-employed citizens and exporters were announced, and an agreement on cooperation between the Agency for Strategic Initiatives on new projects promotion, the Union “Agency for development of professional communities and workers “Young Professionals” and the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan.
