3,000 cars on methane. Implementation of the program for development of gas fuel market continues in Tatarstan

About 3,000 cars have been transferred to methane under the program “Development of the gas engine fuel market in the Republic of Tatarstan” since 2016. Including 1,310 vehicles of individuals. The largest number of cars was transferred in 2018. They amounted to 1,277, which is 1.5 times more than in 2017.

As part of this program, the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan provided subsidies to the accredited Conversion and Maintenance Points for compensation of lost income as a result of transfer of vehicles of businesses and individuals to methane. Depending on the type of technology up to 30 percent of the cost was subsidized.

Implementation of this program will continue in 2019.
