Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the Leaders Club business breakfast of the annual conference “100 Steps to a Favorable Investment Climate”

Today President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the business breakfast of the Leaders Club of the annual conference “100 Steps to a Favorable Investment Climate”. It was attended by the Minister of Economy Farid Abdulganiev.

The event took place in Moscow (Hotel Lotte). It was traditionally organized by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI), TASS news agency. The main topic of the business breakfast is “Development of business communities in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation and formation of necessary infrastructure”.

Representatives of government, business, public and business organizations were invited to the event. All speakers were asked to speak not about success, but about needs to be done to promote business initiatives, new formats for interaction to be used.

During the business breakfast, the existing problems of business communities in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, the effectiveness of the work of business associations in the regions were discussed.

One of the speakers was the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

He, in particular, noted that each region of the country had certain problems associated with the development of entrepreneurship and search for new ways of interaction between business and government. “We all have common problems”, he said. “There are no ideal conditions anywhere, but new ways and solutions must be found to achieve results.”

According to Rustam Minnikhanov, first of all, it is necessary to take a number of basic steps. These are creation of infrastructure for business development, expansion of the legislative base, training and retraining of high-performance personnel.

For modern economics, it is important to start training young people from school, from institutions, the President of Tatarstan considers. He stresses that highly qualified personnel was an important potential.

As for the infrastructure necessary for development of entrepreneurship, today 83 industrial parks have already been created for the industrial community in the Republic of Tatarstan, and financial support tools are functioning. Among the largest sites, he noted the Kamskiy industrial park “Master”, “Alabuga” special economic zone, “Khimgrad” technopolis and others. In addition, industrial sites are being created at the municipal level in the republic.

Rustam Minnikhanov also spoke about the experience of using in Tatarstan such an instrument of interaction with business as the Council for Entrepreneurship. Working groups created by the Council for Entrepreneurship find and work out the most pressing problems for business, they are searching for solutions to these problems. Something can be solved at the regional level, some problems are being submitted for discussion at the federal level, said Rustam Minnikhanov.

Rustam Minnikhanov also said that the situation with development of small and medium-sized businesses was under constant control in the republic. So, in the mode of video conferencing weekly reports of the heads of municipalities on the work done, the dynamics are monitored.

The President of Tatarstan noted that today the share of small and medium-sized enterprises in the gross regional product was about 25.6%. According to him, the task was set to bring this figure to 32.5% by 2024.
