Operational issues of antimonopoly bodies were discussed in the Government House
Today Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, met with the Head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia Igor Artemyev. The meeting was held in the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed operational issues of antimonopoly bodies, harmonization of Russian antimonopoly legislation, as well as the topic of competition.
It was noted that the National Plan for Competition Development in the country for 2018-2020 was approved in the country, a "road map" for the development of competition in various sectors of the economy was prepared, a meeting of the State Council of the Russian Federation on the development of competition in the regions was held, following which specific instructions were given.
In particular, the priority task for the Republic of Tatarstan includes implementation of the Presidential Decree No. 618 "On main directions of state policy for development of competition" in the economic sectors and implementation of the new Standard for the Development of Competition in the constituent units, Rustam Minnikhanov noted.
In addition, Rustam Minnikhanov and Igor Artemyev discussed the work of the FAS Training and Methodological Center, which is located in Kazan. Today the center is one of the leading sites for exchange of opinions and experience for the regions of the country, and is also in demand by the republic's authorities.
Within the framework of the meeting, the Agreement on Cooperation between the Republic of Tatarstan and the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia was signed. Rustam Minnikhanov and Igor Artemyev signed the document.
The subject of the Agreement is the organization of interaction between the parties to implement measures aimed at actively promoting competition in the Republic of Tatarstan in pursuance of Presidential Decree No. 618 of December 21, 2017 "On main directions of state policy for development of competition" and the List of instructions of the President of the Russian Federation following the meeting of the State Council of the Russian Federation on the priority areas of activities of the constituent units of Russia to promote the development of competition in the country.
The implementation of the Agreement is carried out by the FAS Russia - the FAS Department for the Republic of Tatarstan, on the part of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan - by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Farid Abdulganiev, Minister of Economy of Tatarstan, also took part in the meeting.
