On 15 December 2017, within the framework of the VI Russian-Kyrgyz Interregional Conference in Bishkek, the agreement on trade, economic, scientific, technical, social, and humanitarian cooperation was signed between the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic in order to strengthen cooperation in economy and trade, as well as to develop partnerships in science, education, and culture. The agreement was signed by Artyom Zdanov, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Artyom Novikov, Minister of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic, in the presence of Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich.
