24 new businesses for scrap metal reception and processing were opened in Tatarstan in 2018

24 licenses to establish a business for procurement, storage, processing and sale of ferrous and non-ferrous metals were issued by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan in 2018. The largest number of companies was opened in Kazan and Naberezhnye Chelny. Another 88 entrepreneurs reissued their licenses. Currently, this business is carried out by 131 enterprises in Tatarstan. Metals are accepted and processed at 434 points, that is 40 places more than in 2017.

The Ministry of Economy actively supports small and medium-sized businesses in the field of metal processing. Experts conduct consultations and training seminars for entrepreneurs. In addition, anyone can pass a licensee distance school.

In 2018 for the first time the Ministry certified an expert in the field of state licensing control in the field of procurement, storage, processing and sale of ferrous scrap, non-ferrous metals, who, if necessary, is invited to conduct inspections. During the year there were 226 inspections. Their results showed that there were no gross violations that cause or entail harm or threat to health, life of citizens, harm to animals, plants, environment, cultural heritage objects, as well as the threat of emergency situations of technogenic nature.
