Turnover of small and medium-sized businesses reached 1.8 trillion rubles in 2018
Total turnover of small and medium-sized businesses in 2018 reached 1.8 trillion rubles. This was announced today by the First Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan - Director of Department for Development of Entrepreneurship and Competition, Rustem Sibgatullin, at a press conference in "Tatar-Inform" Information Agency. He noted that the figure, compared with last year, increased by 6%. The share of small and medium-sized businesses in the GRP of Tatarstan for the first 9 months of 2018 was 25.4%.
“The total amount of tax revenues to all levels of the budget from small and medium-sized businesses in the current year was estimated at about 68 billion rubles, which is 13% higher than the revenue for 2017”, he said.
Currently, 159 thousand SMEs are operating in the republic, which is 1.664 entities, that is (1.1%) more than at the beginning of 2018. The number of people employed in the field of small and medium enterprises amounts to 533.7 thousand people, that is 3.937 people (0.7%) more than at the beginning of the year. According to these indicators, the Republic of Tatarstan takes the 1st place in the Volga Federal District and 7th - in Russia.
