The President of Tatarstan met with the President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga within the framework of EEF-2018

Today, within the framework of EEF-2018, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, met with the President of Mongolia, Khaltmaagiin Battulga.

The meeting was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in Mongolia Iskander Azizov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Informatization and Communication of the RT Roman Shaikhutdinov, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Albert Nafigin, Head of the Agency for Investment Development of the Republic of Tatarstan Taliya Minullina, heads of the largest enterprises of Tatarstan.

Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Khaltmaagiin Battulga for the meeting and noted that he had repeatedly visited Mongolia. "We met with the leadership of your country, visited the leading enterprises of Mongolia. To date, we have built good ties. Tatarstan is interested in developing fruitful cooperation with Mongolia", he stressed.

The President of the Republic of Tatarstan informs that Tatarstan is an oil producing and oil refining republic. The region has developed petrochemical industries, machine building, tire production, agriculture. "The spheres of tourism and culture are of great interest for cooperation. Also, we should expand our contacts in the field of education", Rustam Minnikhanov suggested.

Khaltmaagiin Battulga notes that strengthening trade and economic relations between Mongolia and the Russian regions is one of the priority tasks. In particular, the developed tire production of Tatarstan is of great interest for the country. "Basically, we carry out all cargo transportation by means of land transport. So we need a lot of tires. It makes sense to consider possible options for cooperation in this direction", he added.
