Russia has risen by five lines in the "Doing Business" rating

The Russian Federation has risen from the 40th to 35th place in the rating "Doing Business", which determines the favorable conditions of doing business in various countries of the world. 

This year in the rating Russia was ahead of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Slovakia and Slovenia. Russia took the first place among the BRICS countries, being ahead of South Africa, China, India, Brazil.

The World Bank's Doing Business ratings system is aimed to rank states in relation to 11 indicators of favorable conditions, enabling environment of business.

There are 190 positions in the rating. The higher is the position of the country in terms of the favorable business environment; the better is the business environment for opening and operating the enterprise.

The Doing Business rating for domestic economic policy acquired a special status in 2012, when it was included into the May Direction of the President of the Russian Federation "On long-term sate economic policy".
