Today, in the city of Kazan, in the House of the Government of the RT a meeting of the Board of Directors of OJSC "Tatneftekhiminvest Holding", chaired by the President ofTatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, was held. The Prime Minister of Tatarstan, Alexei Pesoshin, participated in the work.

The Deputy Director for sales of technical insulation manufactured by the company "Rokvul" in Russia, Roman Aivardji told to the audience about the reasons of pipelines' corrosion and equipment under heat insulation, as well as methods of its avoidance. "Corrosion occurs in places, where there is an interface of the metal with water and oxygen. It costs more than two trillion dollars annually to the world economy. And almost half of that spending is borne by the petrochemical industry," he said.

The speaker recommended the use of   hydrophobizated insulation and insulation with high vapor permeability, as well as suggested that the chemical composition of thermal insulation used on equipment should be regulated.

The " enterprise "Kazanorgsintez has developed and implemented requirements for the content of ions, fluorides, sodium salts in insulation and the level of their application has been regulated. By comparing the suggested level with European practice, we understand, that there is a certain difference in the established norms and requirements. We believe, that there is a good opportunity to consolidate our scientific and technical potential and to optimize the requirements, so that they are objective and allow for intelligent use and choice of insulation materials," suggested Deputy Director of the Company.

By his opinion, in order to mitigate the risks of corrosion under insulation, it might be possible, together with the company "Kazanorgsintez" to study the issue in general and the European experience in particular.

"In order to improve the efficiency of procurements in oil and gas industry we suggest to develop and implement the methods of selecting insulation materials with account of the cost of ownership and operation on all petrochemical facilities of the republic. We are ready to share our experience so that the methodology is simple and objective,"- underlined Roman Aivardji.

The President of Tatarstan remarked, that provided proposals had the right for implementation. He instructed the Tatarstan companies to consider how this experience could be used at existing facilities.

"We have a lot of isolated pipelines. As the practice shows, not always the work is performed qualitatively. The indicated positions point out that this  subject should be treated more seriously and technical assignments or project decisions should apply the moments, that have been expressed", - declared Rustam Minnikhanov.

The Director of LLC "Bonus" of the Kaluga Region, Mikhail Makarov, informed about the equipment for the production of the modified regenerate, produced out of rubber crumbs. "We are ready to participate in joint investment projects and establishment of joint ventures in the territory of Tatarstan with our own equipment. Since you have a serious scientific and technical base for the rubber industry, we would like to have the Republic's research institutes as partners, in order to improve their technology and produce better equipment," - he said.

In his turn, the President of the RT supported the proposed scheme of cooperation.

The First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of the credit organization, General Director of "Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking" in Russia, Ilya Polyakov, made a presentation of PJSC "Rosbank". "We will make every effort to attract investors to the special economic zone “Alabuga”. A meeting in the framework of SEZ wil take place next week. "Wherever we are outside of Russia, we will try to describe the benefits of your economic zone," - he assured.

Head of the Department of Nizhnekamsk Chemistry and Technology Institute, Dmitry Zemsky, provided information on stabilizers of synthetic rubbers. He noted that, according to preliminary estimates, the scope of consumption of stabilizers in Tatarstan amounted to 2.5 thousand tons, and in general in Russia - over 10 thousand tons.

"Stabilizers - are key additives to high molecular compounds, that are designed to significantly increase the service life. The current direction of stabilizers' development  - is the reduction of a  negative impact to environment and the increase the period of validity",- he noted.

The speaker informed about the technology of the integrated processing of the oxide of propylene and aromatic amins, with deriving a range of small-scale chemical products of a very profitable quality. The key product here are  poly oxypropylene aromatic amines.

Those present noted the project's perspectiveness.
