Handyman Ismoil Azizov from Almetyevsk registered as self-employed a year ago. All his life he worked at a construction site: installed tiles, performed roofing work, painted building structures, provided locksmith services. The business was off-the-book, so he did not pay taxes. He assesses the transition to the status of self-employed only positively – the business has become legal. And there was also an opportunity to get support from the state. Ismoil Azizov spoke about the advantages of the new system for himself.
Ismoil Azizov has been thinking about legalizing his income for a long time, but he did not want to become an individual entrepreneur because of the complexity of administration and the need to keep accounting. He was quite satisfied with the status of self-employed and the special simplified tax regime.
"I worked in the construction sector for many years, I did not pay taxes, when the option to become self-employed appeared, I was immediately satisfied with it, the system seemed open and transparent. No one has any complaints about my earnings now, " Azizov said.
After registering as self-employed, Ismoil Azizov had the opportunity to receive support from the Entrepreneurship Support Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan within the framework of the national project "Small and Medium-sized Entrepreneurship and support for individual entrepreneurial initiative". He got a micro-loan in the amount of 200 thousand rubles. With this amount, he purchased construction equipment – punchers, a welding machine, etc.
"I want to say a big thank you to the Fund for the micro loan, because no matter how many times I applied to banks, I was rejected everywhere, since I had no credit history and did not work officially anywhere. The Ministry of Economy listened to me and decided to help with a preferential loan," the self-employed shared.
The construction master's business is going uphill, the number of orders has increased and the attitude of customers has changed, trust has appeared. Now he is a law-abiding citizen and can go out for more serious orders. For example, now he is conducting anti-fire treatment of steel structures.
"127 thousand people have switched to the tax regime as self-employed in Tatarstan. Now they can get support from the state. We hope that such a measure encourages active professionals to open their own business," said Linara Burkhanova, First Deputy General Director and head of the My Business Center.
