Issues of competition development were discussed at a meeting with the subjects of the country

A meeting on provisions implementation of the competition development standard in the subjects of the Russian Federation (hereinafter referred to as the Standard) was held via videoconference, chaired by the Deputy Director of the Department of Competition, Energy Efficiency and Ecology of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.

During the meeting, the proposals of the subjects on the implementation of the Standard were considered. Representatives of the permanent members of the Interdepartmental Working Group on the implementation of the provisions of the Standard were invited to the discussion: the FAS of Russia and the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.

The main part of the questions was dedicated to the problems of implementing the requirements of the Standard by the regions in 2020 in connection with the spread of coronavirus infection. Nevertheless, it was noted that the procedure for the annual assessment of the regions' compliance with the key indicators for promoting competition set by the FAS of Russia, despite the consequences of the pandemic, is not subject to revision.

It needs to be reminded that at the end of 2019, the Republic of Tatarstan is on the 2nd place among the subjects of the Russian Federation according to the rating of the subjects of the Russian Federation in terms of promoting competition based on the Standard in 2019.
