The annual regional competition "Exporter of the Year" has started

The Business Support Fund, subordinate to the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, announced the launch of the annual regional competition "Exporter of the Year". The competition is held jointly with the Union "Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan".

Today, export activity is considered as one of the main factors for increasing sustainability and economic growth. Despite the situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the export activity of companies is still quite an urgent issue, and the creation of conditions for conducting export activities is included in the implementation of national projects at both the federal and national levels.

President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has repeatedly stressed that the republic conducts active foreign trade activities with more than 130 countries. Strategic partnership with the CIS, BRICS, and SCO countries is developing. Many of the world's leading brands are also represented in Tatarstan. In terms of foreign trade turnover, the republic occupies the 6th place among the territorial entities of Russia and the 1st place in the Pryvolzhsky Federal District

"To move forward, we need to set ambitious goals, establish constructive joint work and believe in ourselves. In today's difficult time, new opportunities are opening up, so we need to look for them, " said Rustam Minnikhanov.

The "Exporter of the Year" competition is a unique incentive for export-oriented enterprises to fulfill their potential.

The aim of the "Exporter of the Year" contest is to promote the development of foreign economic activity of entrepreneurs of the Republic of Tatarstan, to provide an opportunity for entrepreneurs to present the best samples of domestic products and services.

Acceptance of documents for participation in the competition is carried out on the website http://exportergoda-rt.ru/ until March 12, 2021.

Tatarstan exporting enterprises and small and medium-sized businesses are invited to participate in the competition (according to Federal Law No. 209-FZ dd. July 24, 2007).

The companies that won the 2019 contest cannot participate in the contest. Also, the company-contestant cannot participate in more than one category of the competition.

The following main categories are established:

"The best export company":

• in the field of industry;

• in the service sector;

• in the field of agriculture (agro-industrial complex);

• in the field of high technologies;

• "Breakthrough of the Year".

All the winners will receive certificates to learn business English, which will help the employees of the enterprises to establish new foreign economic relations.
