Announcement of the second in 2017 competition for provision of grants of the President of the Russian Federation for the development of civil society

From August 16 to September 29 the Fund of Presidential Grants will accept applications for participation in the second competition for provision of grants to non commercial non-governmental organizatins (NCO), held by the direction of the President of the Russian Federation dd. April 3,  2017 No. 93-rp "On provision in 2017 of state support to non-commercial non-governmental companies, participating in the development of the insitutions of the civil society, imolementing socially significant projects in the area of protecting the rights and freedom of a person and citizen".

On July 26, by the direction of the Head of State, the amount of funds for grants support to non-profit organizations was increased from 4.3 to 7 bln RUB. As a result, the grant fund for the second competition is more than 4.5 bln RUB.

The projects, envisaging implementation of activities in the following areas, will be presented on the contest:

• social services, social support and protection of citizens;
• protection of citizens ' health, promotion of healthy lifestyles;
• support for family, motherhood, fatherhood and childhood;
• support for youth projects, the implementation of which covers the types of activities, envisaged by Article 31.1 of the Federal Law dd. 12.01.1996 No. 7 - FZ "On Non Profit Organizations";
• support for projects in the field of science, education, communication;
• support to projects in the field of culture and art;
• preservation of historical memory;
• protection of human and civil rights and freedoms, including the protection of the rights of prisoners;
• environmental protection and protection of animals;
• strengthening of interethnic and interreligious consent;
• development of public diplomacy and support for compatriots;
• development of civil society institutions.

The following organizations should not participate in the competition:

consumer cooperatives, including housing, housing-construction and garage cooperatives, horticultural, orchard associations and housing communities, mutual insurance societies, credit cooperatives, rental funds, agricultural consumer cooperatives; political parties; self-regulated organizations; employers ' associations; unions of cooperatives; chambers of commerce and industry; homeowners' associations, including homeowners' associations; lawyers' chambers; lawyers' institutions; notary chambers.

Conditions and procedure of holding the contest, including the requirements to the application for participating in the contest, are determined by the regulation on the competition, which is approved by the Presidential Grants Fund and is placed on its official website at the address: президентскиегранты.рф.

The application should be submitted to the Presidential Grants Fund in the form of electronic documents by completing the relevant electronic forms, posted on the official site.

The Presidential Grants Fund is finalizing collecting applications at 23:30 of the Moscow time at the end of the bid. The information and documents, received by the Presidential Grants Fund after that date are not recorded or considered, except for the information and documents, requested from the organization by the Presidential Grants Fund.

To support of the claimants, the Fund has prepared training materials how to fill in the application and prepare the budget.
