On May 19, during the ninth International Economic Summit “Russia – the Islamic World: KazanSummit 2017”, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with participants of the third Kazan OIC Youth Entrepreneurship Forum.

From January 25 to February 22, 2017 the Analytical Centre of the Government of the Russian Federation in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation carried out the online survey among representatives of Russian business, allowing to assess the overall state of competition and the competition environment on the Russian markets from the point of view of the entrepreneurs themselves. The poll attracted more than 1100 respondents.

On May 19, at a plenary session of the 9th international economic summit “Russia-the Islamic world: KazanSummit 2017”, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that we are trying to work out mechanisms of interaction with Islamic business, and KazanSummit plays an important role in this process.

The Expert Council of the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) "Alabuga" approved the projects of three companies claiming to be resident of SEZ. The total investment in the creation of new industries is more than 650 million rubles.

The Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev signed the decree of 10 May 2017 "On Amending the Criteria for Creation of a Special Economic Zone." The document was submitted by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.

In 2017, the event "Development of equipment leasing: subsidizing costs of SMEs ("Leasing Grant")" will be implemented in six single-industry towns of the Republic of Tatarstan: Naberezhnye Chelny, Nizhnekamsk, Yelabuga, Zelenodolsk, Chistopol and Mendeleevsk.

On May 19, during KazanSummit – 2017, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a business breakfast of Sberbank dedicated to development of counterpart funding in Russia. Rustam Minnikhanov noted that special attention should be paid to staff training and existing legislation for the promotion of Islamic banking in Russia.
