Final competition of rural school students "AgroNTI – 2019" is held in Almetyevsk

Today  final competitions of all-Russian contest "AgroNTI – 2019" among rural students started in Almetyevsk . Its purpose is to familiarize and involve rural school students in the work on the priorities of the National technology initiative (NTI), such as digitalization and robotization of agriculture.

Students of 5-11 grades compete in 4 directions: agrocompany, agrirobots, agronomos, agrometeo. The students demonstrate skills of working with unmanned aerial vehicles and automatic control systems, data processing from geostationary orbit and weather forecasting for agricultural needs.

The competition is organized by the Innovation promotion fund and is held in the Republic of Tatarstan with the support of the Executive Committee of Almetyevsk municipal district and the Ministry of economy of the Republic.

More than 18 thousand of schoolchildren, including 3.5 thousand from the Republic of Tatarstan, submitted their applications for participation. 101 schoolchildren competing in the final competitions in Almetyevsk, came from Volgograd, Kemerovo, Novosibirsk, Saratov regions and 11 districts of the Republic of Tatarstan : Alekseevsk, Almetyevsk, Muslyumovsk, Zainsk, Saby, Arsk, Agryz, Kukmor, Sarmanovo, Leninogorsk and Baltasi.

The summing up will take place tomorrow, August 31. Awards will be presented to the winners by the President of the Republic Rustam Minnikhanov.

The winners of the final stage will have the opportunity to take part in a specialized site within the framework of the Russian agroindustrial exhibition "Golden autumn" on October 9-12, 2019.
