A meeting of the working group of the Presidential Council for Strategic Development and National Projects chaired by the Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Andrei Belousov was held in Moscow today. The Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiyev took part in the meeting of the working group from the Republic of Tatarstan.

The meeting discussed the implementation of measures of the national program “Digital Economy of the Russian Federation”, concerning the creation of a sustainable and safe information and telecommunications infrastructure for high-speed transmission, processing and storage of large amounts of data.

“The world is entering the fourth industrial revolution related to artificial intelligence, blockchain, quantum computers and development of the digital economy. We need a coordinated work of entrepreneurs, academics, investors, state-owned companies and development institutions, deputies and civil servants in order to create a powerful branch of the digital economy in Tatarstan — the economy of the future. Further digitalization will lead to full transparency in all spheres of public life and openness of any processes. At the same time, digitalization carries with it certain risks, and we must be ready to effectively counter them”, said Farid Abdulganiyev.

Note that for implementation of the national project “Digital Economy of the Russian Federation” in the Republic of Tatarstan, five regional projects have been approved: “Information Infrastructure”; “Staff for Digital Economy”; “Information Security”; “Digital Technologies” and “Digital Public Administration”.

The main part of the activities of regional projects is already being implemented in the framework of the state program “Development of information and communication technologies in the Republic of Tatarstan “Open Tatarstan” for 2014-2021.
