The Ministry of Economy discussed creation of the SEZ in Almetyevskiy district

Issues of preparing an application for creation of a special economic zone in the Almetyevskiy district were discussed at the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan. The event was attended by representatives of sectoral ministries and interested organizations.

The project involves creation of a territory with preferential business conditions. At the initial stage, it is planned to create a gas chemical cluster on a land plot of more than 300 hectares. Its core will be the enterprises for the production of maleic anhydride (volume of 50 thousand tons) and polypropylene (572 thousand tons per year). These gas processing products are the raw material for production of a wide range of products, which contributes to development of small and medium-sized enterprises-processors.

The most important factors for successful implementation of projects are the availability of raw materials and preferences. On the territory of the Almetyevsk agglomeration, the processing of associated petroleum gas and wide fractions of light hydrocarbons is carried out. Creation of the SEZ will make it possible to attract investment in construction of a gas chemical cluster, the total amount of which will exceed 80 billion rubles, create additional jobs, and provide a significant contribution to the increase in the republic's GRP.

At the initial stage, it is planned to implement 13 investment projects totaling 10.1 billion rubles, initiated by enterprises of the district, in particular, Tatneft PAO, Almetyevsk Pipe Plant AO, Alnas OOO.
