Today, an agreement on cooperation between the municipal formations of the Kazan agglomeration was signed.
Strategy of Social and Economic Development of the Republic of Tatarstan until 2030 pays great attention to ensuring inter-municipal interaction. It includes the following:
- agglomeration approach, according to which three agglomerations are distinguished in Tatarstan - Kazan, Kama and Almetyevsk;
- as well as establishment of a system of inter-municipal cooperation, development and implementation of municipal strategies based on self-development.
In 2016, on behalf of Rustam Minnikhanov, centralized work was carried out to develop and approve 45 municipal strategies, each of which was coordinated with the neighboring municipalities of the republic.
Based on the work done, the Ministry of Economy prepared methodological recommendations on development of cooperation agreements between municipal formations of the Republic of Tatarstan, which are part of one agglomeration.
An agreement signing today on the basis of these recommendations between the municipalities of the Kazan agglomeration is an important step in implementation of the Strategy-2030 to improve the efficiency of inter-municipal interaction, as well as the normative basis for implementation of joint projects by the municipalities.
