Rustam Minnikhanov: "Every city of Tatarstan shall have own agro-industrial park" Further cooperation between Tatarstan and SME Corporation was discussed in Moscow

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited the Federal Corporation for the Development of Small and Medium Business (SME Corporation) in Moscow, where he met with the head of the corporation Alexander Braverman. Minister of Economy of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiev took part in the meeting.

Tatarstan has a lot of common projects with the SME Corporation. For instance, 934 transactions, including provision of guarantees and sureties, have been concluded in Tatarstan from January 2015 to June 2018 in the framework of providing financial and guarantee support to small and medium-sized enterprises together with National Guarantee System (NGS).

In 2016, the SME Corporation prepared and put into operation a free information resource for start-up and active entrepreneurs who want to open or expand their business - the Business Navigation Portal for SMEs. Today, SME Business Navigator covers 171 cities of Russia with a population of over 100 thousand people and capitals of certain regions of the Russian Federation. In the Republic of Tatarstan, SME Business Navigator covers Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Nijnekamsk and Almetyevsk.

Rustam Minnikhanov and Alexander Braverman discussed further step for cooperation at a regional level.

In the meeting with Alexander Braverman, the President of Tatarstan also announced an idea that every city of the republic shall have an agro-industrial park, where the products of local agricultural producers, such as farms, gardens will be presented as much as possible. It is expected that the implementation of this project will provide local producers with more opportunities to sell its products, as well as more incentives to produce these products.
