Kamsky cluster INNOKAM is the first cluster in Russia to be awarded the Silver Quality Certificate according to the ECEI methodology. Minister of Economy of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiev noted that the production of competitive products is one of the main conditions for the development of the economy, while quality is the fundamental of competitiveness: "It is a guaranteed achievement of the planned results by using the total quality management focused on the satisfaction of all parties concerned. The quality management system shall comply with the market requirements and regulatory requirements. The availability of a certified quality management system indicates that all processes in the organization run smoothly".
The audit result is an indicator of effective arrangement of the cluster structure and organization of cluster management and development, while the certificate obtained is the recognition of compliance with international cluster development and promotion standards. The assessment was carried out by the ESCA expert during two days in the form of a physical interview of the specialized cluster organization on the main areas of activity on 30 indicators, as well as interviewing the cluster participants.
Since 2016, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia runs a priority project "Development of innovative clusters - leaders of the world-class investment attractiveness". 12 Russian innovative clusters, including the Kama Innovative Regional Production Cluster of the Republic of Tatarstan "INNOKAM" participate in the project.
One of the strategic areas of the priority project is the development of the cluster management system. It includes activities aimed at increasing efficiency of the specialized cluster organization. Certification of the cluster according to international standards shall be the key result of the activities performed.
