The Delegation of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic studied the Experience of the Ministry of Economy of Tatarstan
Today the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiev met with the delegation of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic. Guests were told about the organization of the work of the multipurpose centers and other developments to overcome administrative barriers for business. One of the priority tasks is the formation of a favorable investment climate, as well as an increase in investment activity, said Farid Abdulganiev. The necessary investment legislation has been created in the republic. A key document that currently defines the development directions of the Republic of Tatarstan is the Strategy for the Social and Economic Development of the Republic of Tatarstan until 2030. The main goal of the Strategy is the establishment of the republic as a competitive sustainable region.
In the Republic of Tatarstan, the necessary infrastructure support has been created, which helps attract investors to the region. The republican development institutions includes: Special economic zone of industrial-production type "Alabuga" (SEZ IPT "Alabuga" JSC), Special economic zone of technology-innovative type "Innopolis", Technopolis "Khimgrad", industrial parks, technoparks, as well as 5 investment and venture funds. A striking example of the successful operation of the investment infrastructure is the Alabuga Special Economic Zone, which is part of the Kamsky cluster and is the largest special economic zone of the industrial-production type in Russia. Among the residents are such well-known companies all over the world as Ford, 3M, Rockwool, Air Liquide, Armstrong. 56 ompanies are involved as residents, 23 residents are carrying out industrial and production activities in the Alabuga SEZ. Over 6,300 jobs were created. Residents are represented by three key clusters: production of cars and auto components, processing of polymers into finished products, production of building materials. In addition, projects of residents are being implemented in the food industry, wood processing, glass production, composite materials, and machine building.
The city of Innopolis and the special economic zone of the technology-innovative type "Innopolis" are in the intensive development stage. They are called to become the new modern Russian center of information and communication technologies, where the best innovative solutions are developed and commercialized. Innopolis SEZ provides resident companies with a wide range of economic benefits and preferences.
At the beginning of 2018, residents of the Innopolis SEZ are 61 companies with a total declared investment of about 11 billion rubles.
Housing for 5,000 people was built during the first stage of the construction of the Innopolis. Conditions have been created for the work of more than 2,000 highly qualified specialists.
One of the most important elements of Innopolis – the first federal IT-university (together with the Kazan (Privolzhsky) Federal University and the leading IT-university of the USA Carnegie Mellon) was also constructed. This is a new Russian university, specializing in education and research in the field of modern information technology. The teaching staff consists of leading Russian and foreign experts in the fields of IT and robotics. Educational programs are oriented to the actual needs of business and industry, forming a qualitative flow of specialists for work in resident companies of Innopolis.
A significant contribution to the development of the infrastructure of the region is made by 63 industrial sites of the municipal level, where 442 residents are operating and more than 8,100 jobs were created.
