Labor inspectors have been given the authority to conduct unscheduled inspections of employers

On December 31, 2017, the President of the Russian Federation signed the Federal Law No. 502-FZ "On Amending Article 360 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation".

Based on the adopted law, state labor inspectors are empowered to conduct unscheduled inspections of employers in case of requests and statements of legal entities or individuals, information from state authorities, local governments, trade unions or from the mass media on facts of the employer's evasion from the execution of the employment contract with the employee, including by concluding a civil law contract, as well as on the facts of improper execution of an employment contract.
